this is a description
I'm Stewart, a Creative / Design Director living in London, UK.
From an early age, I’ve been fascinated with how creative work can communicate ideas, talk to people and, along the way, enrich their lives. I enjoy the process of creation, of understanding a problem and crafting a solution to it, in whatever form that may take.
I love learning how things work, making things and using new technology - this has led me to work in a mixture of both creative and technical roles through my career - from more traditional design and creative director roles to development team leads and head of creative technology.
Ultimately, all of my technical skills have been acquired to support my primary interest and passion which is creative work. I do however believe that having a good grasp of technology can only help in solving creative challenges in a time where it plays an ever-widening role in peoples lives.
Feel free to contact me to request my full CV or work with me.
Early in my career, I worked predominantly on print, brand and identity projects for traditional design companies, however, as my interest and knowledge of new technology increased I transitioned into working on digital creative, firstly via agencies and then as a freelancer.
In 2008 I started a creative business called 'Yuki' which I grew into a 10 strong company providing digital creative services to both advertising agencies and directly to brands such as Fiat, Jeep, Alfa Romeo and Selfridges. Six years later, in 2014, Yuki merged with the UK arm of advertising agency 'Doner', where I took on a wider role working on ATL and integrated campaigns before leading Doner UK's digital department, as Head of creative technology. I left Doner in 2018, returning to the world of freelance and new opportunities.
